EILEEN SOLOMON

Eileen began her career by working in field of industrial audiology. She then did national marketing and sales for the Gillette Safety Razor Company before moving into event planning and producing.  She worked as a volunteer at the 92nd Street Y and then joined the staff and created the Special Events department. She started producing original theater shows, cabaret evenings and street festivals as well as many other events which have raised millions of dollars. After fourteen years at the 92nd Street Y she became the Director, Special Events at The Mount Sinai Medical Center more than six ears ago.  There she and her staff create and manage more than thirty events annually for the medical school and the hospital. In addition she does consulting work with outside agencies including theater companies on events and board development. Credits include a documentary film for The Mount Sinai Medical Center on the 60th Anniversary of the Third General Hospital from Mount Sinai Hospital that served during WWII. She is a guest lecturer at Pratt Institute graduate school and speaks on events, board development and how to engage the community.
